New NRSC Ads Go Hard Against ‘Ineffective’ Donnelly in Indiana

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) released two new ads Thursday attacking Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN), one of the nation’s most vulnerable incumbent senators.

One, titled “No to Joe,” features President Trump’s criticism of Donnelly at a rally earlier this year. The ad touches on the issues of tax cuts, ObamaCare repeal, and immigration.

The other, titled “Fire Drill,” focuses on Donnelly’s ineffectiveness as a senator.

One thing both ads have in common? They refer to Donnelly by Trump’s chosen nickname for the Indiana senator, “Sleepin’ Joe.”

The RealClearPolitics polling average for the Indiana U.S. Senate race has Donnelly up 3.8 percentage points. Braun has led in two of the last four polls of the race.
