New NRSC Campaign Tells Dems: Hands Off Our Paychecks

The National Republican Senatorial Commitee (NRSC) released new digital ads Wednesday that target Democrats who are running for U.S. Senate in 2018, telling them “Hands Off Our Paychecks” when it comes to tax reform.

The NRSC wrote, of their ad against Rep. Jacky Rosen (D-NV), who’s running for Senate against incumbent Dean Heller (R-NV) in 2018, “[t]he scrolling auto-play Facebook and YouTube bumper ads urge Nevada voters to tell Rosen to keep her hands off their paychecks, and are part of a national effort targeting 2018 Democrats in 12 states.”

Here’s a sample of the ads, this one targeting Rosen:

Other targets for the NRSC:

  • Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), who’s expected to run for the open seat being vacated by Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ)
  • Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT)
  • Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND)
  • Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO)
  • Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI)
  • Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI)
  • Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV)
  • Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL)
  • Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA)
  • Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH)
  • Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) (dubbed “Mexico Joe” by the NRSC, for his ties to a company that outsourced Hoosier jobs to Mexico)

The ad campaign comes ahead of key U.S. Senate votes on the GOP-led tax bill.
