New Poll: Majority of Americans Want Vote on Trump’s Supreme Court Pick Before Midterms

An NBC News/SurveyMonkey poll released on Tuesday found that a majority of Americans want the Senate to vote on President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee before the November midterm elections.

According to the poll, 62 percent of Americans think that Trump’s nominee should be voted on by the Senate before the November elections.

This poll undercuts the argument that Senate Democrats have been making that Trump’s nominee should be voted on after the midterm elections

NBC News also reported:

“Sixty-six percent of Democrats and 60 percent of Republicans said Trump’s nominee would be an important factor in their vote in the midterms. However, less than half of independents, 46 percent, said it would be on their mind when casting their November ballot.”

Trump has said that he will announce his nominee to replace Justice Anthony Kennedy on Monday.
