New York Post Front Page Blasts Omar’s 9/11 Comments: ‘Here’s Your Something’

The front page of the New York Post on Thursday blasted Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her recent controversial comments regarding the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

During a fundraiser for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in March, Omar referred to the 9/11 terrorist attacks as an incident in which “some people did something,” which sparked outrage among survivors and Americans across the country.

“Rep. Ilhan Omar: 9/11 was ‘some people did something,” the New York Post headline read, with a picture of the World Trade Center ablaze following the terrorist attacks.

Appearing on the picture in large, white text was the caption, “Here’s your something: 2,977 people dead by terrorism.”

The Post’s editorial board blasted Omar’s comments, calling them “pathetic.”

“Some people did something? Wow. What a way to describe the heinous surprise attack on America that claimed 3,000 lives,” the Post’s editorial board wrote. “Omar’s cavalier brushing off of the murder of thousands of innocents on 9/11 should shock all Americans, Muslims included.”
