The hash tag “#thetaxbillhuts” peppered The New York Times‘ opinion Twitter feed, as the editorial staff took control of the account to urge its followers to oppose the GOP tax plan. Mimicking the tactics of Democratic super PACs, the account tweeted contact information for key GOP senators and told its followers to call their offices in opposition to the tax bill.
