CNN’s Nia-Malika Henderson said that the Democratic Party doesn’t have a ‘unifying message’ and that diversity inside the party isn’t a strength, but rather a hindrance, during a panel discussion on “Inside Politics” on Monday.

“Bernie Sanders in some ways sounds like a broken record,” Nia-Malika Henderson told the panel about Sanders’ upcoming “Unity Tour” with DNC Chair Tom Perez.

Nia-Malika Henderson said that the Democratic Party doesn’t have a “unifying message,” and pointed to competing factions within the party as something that is problematic.

Henderson concluded by saying that she doesn’t think diversity within the Democratic Party is a strength, and pointed to Republicans being unified in their message as an example of strength.
