UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, at a conversation on global challenges at Duke University on Thursday, hinted that she may be considering a presidential run after her tenure in the Trump administration.

As President Trump’s representative at the United Nations, Haley has hit America’s enemies with a hardline stance that was absent during the Obama years.

“Do you think in my lifetime I will see a female president of the United States?” Professor Peter Feaver asked Haley.

“Yes, I absolutely do,” Haley responded to applause from the audience.

Feaver pushed the question further.

“Don’t even go there,” Haley warned, chuckling.

“Do you think in my lifetime I will see an Indian-American female president of the United States?” Feaver asked Haley, who is Indian-American.

Haley did not respond with “yes,” but her answer was also certainly not a “no.”

“I’m trying to survive this job right now,” she said. “I never thought I’d be a legislator. I certainly never thought I’d be a governor. And if you told me I was going to be living in New York with all that snow, I would have told you, you were crazy.”

“Every day my hope is that I make the American people proud, and if I do that, I’m not worried about anything else,” the UN ambassador concluded.
