The U.S. economy added 155,000 jobs in November, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) announced on Friday.

BLS also announced the unemployment rate remained at 3.7 percent for the third month in a row.

Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 155,000 in November, and the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.7 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains occurred in health care, in manufacturing, and in transportation and warehousing.

In November, the unemployment rate was 3.7 percent for the third month in a row, and the number of unemployed persons was little changed at 6.0 million.

The November jobs report is not as strong as October’s report, when the U.S. economy added 250,000 jobs. That number was revised down to 237,000 on Friday.

The U.S. economy has created nearly 4.2 million jobs in the ‘Trump era,’ running from February 2017 through present. However, November was tied with March for the second-weakest month for job growth in 2018. Some economists have warned that the economy is headed for a slowdown in 2019 and beyond.
