NTK’s Summer Movie Guide (with Trailers!)

With The Fate of the Furious unofficially kicking off the summer movie season this weekend, Need To Know (NTK) Network’s team has compiled the trailers for movies that will be making big bucks at the box office this summer.

Summer 2017 looks to be continue the trend from previous summers: sequels and reboots.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5) – Marvel’s unexpected blockbuster hit from 2014 returns to presumably save the galaxy, again.

Alien: Covenant (May 19) – Legendary director Ridley Scott’s latest bridges the film Prometheus and the original 1979 Alien film that he directed.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (May 26) – Disney’s fifth installment in the franchise that started 14 years ago features Javier Bardem as the villain to Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow.

Wonder Woman (June 6) – Gal Gadot is Diana of the Amazons, more famously known as Wonder Woman, and looks to do what Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck weren’t able to do for their respective DC franchises: entertain audiences.

The Mummy (June 9) – Universal Pictures reboots its Mummy franchise with Tom Cruise as the star (but apparently not the mummy).

Transformers: The Last Knight (June 23) – Michael Bay claims this is his last time at the helm of the franchise; that claim is likely dependent on how much this makes (or doesn’t make, whichever the case may be).

Spiderman: Homecoming (July 7) – Fresh off his extended cameo in Captain America: Civil War, Spiderman gets his own feature movie as part of the current Marvel universe, while ignoring the previous two iterations of the iconic webslinger.

War For The Planet Of The Apes (July 14) – The third movie in the also recently rebooted but critically-acclaimed series finds apes and humans in conflict again. Woody Harrelson is the lead human villain this time, but the main stars are the CGI apes and Andy Serkis (who famously played Gollum in the Lord of the Rings films) as Caesar.

Dunkirk (July 21) – Christopher Nolan’s latest epic is focused on the amazing true story of the massive Allied evacuation from France during World War 2.
