Obama Admin Official: I Wish Pelosi Would Move on Gracefully

"I wish she would sort of move on gracefully and not lead us into this what I think will be potentially a nasty leadership fight."

Marie Harf, who was the press secretary in former President Obama’s State Department and ran foreign policy issues on Obama’s 2012 campaign, said she wishes that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) would move on gracefully to prevent a nasty leadership fight on Thursday.

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade asked Harf what she thought about Pelosi declaring she would be speaker of the House again after the 2018 midterm elections.

“I hear that there are a lot of current members as well, particularly younger members, that do not think Nancy Pelosi should be the speaker,” Harf said.

Harf then said that she thinks that Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY) is more in touch with the economic issues that Democrats care about.

“I think that the caucus understands, particularly because the Republicans are going to have new leadership since Paul Ryan is retiring, that we may need to replace Nancy Pelosi,” Harf said. “I wish she would sort of move on gracefully and not lead us into this, what I think will be potentially a nasty leadership fight.”
