House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) doesn’t have a problem with the growing list of Democratic candidates who have said they will not support her for speaker if elected, suggesting they’re just saying this to win their elections.

Politico‘s Jake Sherman asked Pelosi during a live interview on Tuesday what she thinks about the growing list of Democratic candidates running in 2018 who have publicly said that they will not support her to be the leader of the Democratic caucus if elected.

“I think if they have to do that to win the election, I’m all for winning,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi then listed the issues that people claim to care about more than her in the upcoming congressional races.

Sherman followed up by asking if she thinks this issue will work itself out after the election, or if Pelosi is worried that this could become a “math problem” for her.

“I think many of them are saying we need more – we need new leadership. I don’t take offense at that,” Pelosi said.
