Pelosi on Impeachment: It ‘May Be Imperative’ After We See the Mueller Report

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) seemed to shift her stance on whether President Trump should be impeached on Wednesday, telling the Associated Press that “it may be imperative that he be impeached” after Congress sees Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report.

In March, Pelosi appeared to come out against impeaching Trump, telling the Washington Post that Trump was not “worth it.”

The Associated Press asked Pelosi whether she still held this view.

“My view is that impeachment is very divisive in the country, and when we see what we need to see, it may be imperative that he be impeached. But up until then, he’s not worth it,” Pelosi said. “Let us see the report.”
