House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) struggled to name House Democrats who attended a press conference on Wednesday, often times taking awkward pauses and waiting for another colleague to identify the individual.

“If I may, you’re going to be hearing from our ranking members,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi was easily able to name Reps. Bobby Scott (D-VA), Frank Pallone (D-NJ), and Lloyd Doggett (D-TX).

Then Pelosi attempted to name other members of the House Democratic Caucus who were in attendance. This is where she began to struggle and began asking other Democrats who certain members were.

“Who’s that?” Pelosi asked before other Democrats informed her that it was Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA), a member of Pelosi’s home state delegation.

Pelosi then seemed to struggle to remember Rep. Brenda Lawrence’s (D-MI) last name, simply noting she was from Michigan.

Seeming to sense that the 78-year-old Pelosi was struggling, Rep. Bill Foster (D-IL) introduced himself.
