People Don’t Like Hillary Clinton. Here’s What That Means for 2020.

A Wall Street Journal poll found that only 27 percent of American adults had a somewhat favorable view of Hillary Clinton, but that isn’t stopping top 2020 presidential candidates from attending a fundraiser with Clinton next month.

The survey found that only 11 percent of people had a “very positive,” view of the former secretary of state, while 36 percent of those surveyed said that they had a “very negative” view of Clinton.

In total, 52 percent of those surveyed had a negative view of Clinton, while just 27 percent said they had a somewhat favorable view.

These abysmal poll numbers, compounded with controversial comments made by Clinton regarding Trump supporters, aren’t enough to keep away Democrats from fundraising with the twice-failed presidential candidate, though.

BuzzFeed News reported that Clinton plans to raise money for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) in May at the annual Women’s Leadership Forum.

Other speakers at the event include 2020 hopefuls Sens. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and former Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander (D-MO).

These 2020 hopefuls should be careful that they don’t stand too close to Clinton, lest they catch her unpopularity.
