The Democratic senator hosted a fundraiser with Pearl Jam, and a poster promoting the event praised Tester with a violent message.

A poster from a Monday fundraising concert for Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) displayed the skeletal body of President Trump lying on the lawn of a burning White House, according to local Montana station KPAX. The fundraiser, featuring Pearl Jam, sold the posters to attendees of the event.

The image features a smiling Tester flying a tractor over the White House as flames engulf the president’s residence. A bald eagle picks at Trump’s bones in the foreground.

The senator is up for reelection in 2018 in a state that Trump won by 20 points.

Matt Rosendale, Tester’s 2018 Republican opponent, demanded an apology from the Democratic senator. So far, according to KPAX, he’s been silent.

Sen. Tester’s opponent, Matt Rosendale, was quick to jump on the controversy, calling the poster “disgusting and reprehensible”, calling on the Senator to renounce the image.

There’s been no statement from the Tester campaign.

Trump has previously focused his ire on the vulnerable Montana incumbent, angry over Tester’s treatment of former Veterans Affairs nominee Ronny Jackson.

The image of the president’s skeleton and burning home at Tester’s fundraisers certainly won’t help relations between the two.
