President Donald Trump said that his “America First” policy doesn’t mean America alone, but is rather a policy that benefits the entire world, during his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Friday.

“As president of the United States, I will always put America first, just like the leaders of other countries should put their country first also. But America first does not mean America alone,” Trump said.

Trump’s “America First” policy has been met with criticism and skepticism from world leaders and foreign policy experts in the past, as they view it as a policy that means America will become isolated from the international community.

Trump, however, went on to say that this is not the case, and that when America succeeds the international community succeeds.

“When the United States grows so does the world. American prosperity has created countless jobs all around the globe, and the drive for excellence, creativity, and innovation in the U.S. has led to important discoveries that help people everywhere live more prosperous and far healthier lives,” Trump concluded.
