RNC Has Raised Over $250 Million for the 2018 Midterms

The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced on Thursday that it reached another fundraising milestone, surpassing $250 million after another record-breaking haul in the month of August.

According to The Hill, the RNC raised $16.4 million in August, “which is the RNC’s largest monthly haul of the cycle. That brings the national party’s total fundraising to $252 million as of Wednesday.”

The RNC has $42 million cash on hand, which is the more than it had in the bank at this point in 2016.

“Enthusiasm for President Trump and his successful agenda is fueling our record-breaking fundraising and energizing our grassroots supporters,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. “With less than 50 days until the midterm elections we have built the largest ground game ever, and we are ready to defy history on November 6th.”

The RNC has used its record-breaking fundraising to invest in building “a big data-focused field operation,” and 540 paid staffers who are working in 28 states.
