‘Rogue Employee’ Takes Down Trump’s Twitter

A “rogue employee” deactivated President Trump’s Twitter account for 11 minutes on Thursday night, prompting anger from the president Friday morning.

According to Twitter support, the action was taken by an employee on his last day with the company, but Twitter originally claimed that “human error” caused the blackout.

“We have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day,” they reported two hours later.

The president has used social media platforms like no other American leader in his first ten months of his presidency, employing it as an extra tool of the presidential bully pulpit. Trump constantly attacks enemies, praises allies, and pressures Congress from his Twitter account.
