Russia’s UN Ambassador, Vasily Nebenzya, took a threatening and defiant tone at a UN Security Council meeting on the U.K. nerve agent attack on Wednesday, seemingly threatening the victims of the chemical attack.

Over 20 people in the U.K. required hospitalization after a Russian nerve agent, Novichok, was used to target a former Russian spy and his daughter. U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May pointed the finger at the Kremlin.

Nebenzya denied evidence that Russia was behind the attack. “Couldn’t you come up with a better fake story?” he asked.

The ambassador cited The Daily Mail, saying U.K. intelligence was hiding information about the attack.

“You are playing with fire, and you’ll be sorry,” Nebenzya directed at the United Kingdom.

“It’s one thing to put forward unsubstantiated accusations, and it’s quite different using professional terms,” the ambassador said, according to the translator.
