Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said that most reporters at Fox News are promoting right-wing propaganda during an interview with the Huffington Post, explaining his decision to hold a town hall on the network.

The Huffington Post’s Amanda Terkel asked Sanders whether he thought Fox News was a propaganda arm for President Trump and his administration.

“In most respects, I think it is. You know, you have some people on there who I think are serious,” Sanders said.

Sanders identified Fox News’ Bret Baier as one of the reporters at Fox News who he thinks is credible.

“So, I think they have some people what you can describe as, you know, as real journalists. But obviously, most of that thing is, most of the station is right-wing propaganda,” Sanders said.

Earlier in the interview, Sanders explained to Terkel that he was participating in the Fox News town hall so that he could reach Trump supporters and let them know that the president has lied to them.

A recent survey found that Fox News is the “most trusted” American TV news station in the United States, well ahead of both CNN and MSNBC.
