MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said that he would advise Democrats running for president in 2020 to expect to face outgoing United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley in the general election and not President Trump on Wednesday.

“If I were actually war gaming this, I would tell everybody thinking about running, plan your campaign against Donald Trump, but expect to be running against Nikki Haley. You have to think that way,” Scarborough said.

Scarborough made the remarks during a panel discussion on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” regarding 2020 Democrats’ strategy heading into next year.
