SLF Invests Another $6.4 Million in Senate Ads Ahead of Midterms

The Senate Leadership Fund, the super PAC closely aligned with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, announced Tuesday that they are spending another $6.4 million in advertising on behalf of Republican campaigns in key Senate states this fall.

In addition to $1.1 million allotted to Tennessee, which is intended to protect a GOP seat, USA Today has a breakdown of where the money is going:

In addition to Tennessee, the Senate Leadership Fund is targeting its TV, radio and digital ads in five other states this week, officials told USA TODAY. The group will spend $1.8 million in Missouri, $1.4 million in Indiana, $1 million in Nevada, $800,000 in West Virginia and $350,000 in North Dakota.

This money will go toward unseating Sens. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND). In Nevada, the money will go toward protecting Sen. Dean Heller’s (R-NV) seat from Rep. Jacky Rosen (D-NV).

According to USA Today, the ads each have unique and specific messages.

To date, SLF pledged to spend $60 million for the 2018 midterms. Its sister organization, the non-profit One Nation, has already spent $38 million.
