Billionaire environmentalist Tom Steyer’s political organization NextGen America is currently operating on 17 college campuses across New Hampshire, possibly laying the groundwork for a 2020 presidential run for Steyer.

Steyer has increased his national profile in recent months after launching his $50 million “Need to Impeach” campaign against President Trump and holding 30 town halls about the subject across the country.

Now Steyer is rebranding his “Need to Impeach” campaign to “Need to Vote,” according to the Concord Monitor:

“Now he’s transformed his impeachment movement into a get-out-the-vote effort, and he returned to the Granite State to hold his first “Need to Vote” town hall, which took place Wednesday evening at Manchester Community College.”

“We are doing every single thing that we can to promote the engagement and participation of people under 35 because we believe unless they participate, we don’t have a representative democracy,” Steyer said, while touting that NextGen is operating on “17 college campuses across New Hampshire.”

While, Steyer has been evasive with reporters about his political future, being active on 17 college campuses in the state that holds the nation’s first presidential primary seems to suggest that Steyer could be at least considering a 2020 presidential run.
