SURVEY: Democratic Women Who’ve Been Sexually Harassed Are Not Fans of Joe Biden

An online survey conducted by American National Election Studies found Democratic women who have been sexually harassed in the past were less likely to support former Vice President Joe Biden in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

The survey of 2,500 U.S. voters, which was conducted in December, found that “27 percent of Democrats named Biden as their top choice in the 2020 Democratic primary.”

The Washington Post pointed out that only “19 percent of Democrats who said they’d experienced unwanted sexual advances fairly or very often chose Biden.”

Meanwhile, 30 percent “who reported never or only rarely experiencing unwanted sexual advances were more likely than others to pick Biden.”

The survey also found that Democrats who felt strongly about the #MeToo movement were less likely to support Biden than those who had a “lukewarm” feeling about he #MeToo movement.

This poll was conducted before several women came forward to accuse Biden of inappropriate touching, so it’s not clear how those numbers might have changed. if at all, since the survey was conducted.
