Texas Young Democrats have invited Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), a reputed anti-Semite, to speak at their annual convention next month in Austin, according to a report published in the Patch on Tuesday.

Omar will address the Texas Young Democrats annual “convention that takes place May 17-19 at the Austin Marriott South,” according to the Patch.

Since being sworn into office in January, Omar has tweeted anti-Semitic tropes, and on another occasion accused Jewish Americans of having a dual loyalty to the U.S. and Israel.

Omar also recently described the terror attacks that took place on September 11, 2001, which resulted in 2,977 deaths and was the single deadliest terrorist attacks in human history, as an event in which “some people did something.”

Then just last week, veterans of the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu blasted Omar for her uninformed comments about the battle in an interview with the Washington Examiner.
