Mark McKinnon, the co-host of Showtime’s “The Circus,” told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Thursday that most of America doesn’t care about President Trump’s alleged scandals and that battleground states like Iowa remain “Trump country.”

Asked about the Stormy Daniels saga, McKinnon said that Americans are not concerned by the allegations.

The co-host of “The Circus,” along with NBC’s John Heilemann, goes out into America to discuss the Trump presidency with regular Americans.

“People really don’t care about it,” he said. “It’s not persuading anybody.”

“And Iowa is still Trump country?” Mitchell asked.

“Oh yeah, no question about it,” he responded. “It’s solid Trump country.”

McKinnon warned Democrats may not see the “blue wave” that they’re expecting in November, citing Trump’s accomplishments.

“Everybody’s getting really excited about the blue wave. Maybe just hesitate a moment here because we’re still six months out, and a lot of good things are happening for Donald Trump right now,” he said.
