The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is calling on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to condemn controversial comments Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) made over the weekend.

Waters, who has been a vocal critic of President Trump and his administration, told protestors on Saturday to harass members of the Trump administration in public.

“Already, you have members of this cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants, who have protesters taking up at their house,” Waters said. “No peace! No sleep!”

“If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, at a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters added.

The NRCC tweeted on Monday:

In recent days several high-ranking officials in the Trump administration have encountered protesters at restaurants and outside their homes.
