Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) said that impeaching President Trump isn’t a priority for House Democrats when they retake control of the House in January, during an interview with MSNBC on Tuesday.

When Democrats retake control of the House in January, Clyburn will likely take over as House majority whip, which would make him the third highest-ranking House Democrat.

MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson asked Clyburn whether impeachment would be a leadership priority for House Democrats when they take back control of the House in January.

“No, it’s not,” Clyburn said. “I’ve made it very clear during the campaign, I’ve made it clear since the election, that we ought not get out in front of the Mueller report.”
