President Trump announced that he will nominate William Barr as U.S. Attorney General and Heather Nauert to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations on Friday, while rumors continue to fly about Chief of Staff John Kelly possibly leaving the Trump administration soon.

“President Donald Trump said he will nominate William Barr as attorney general to take over after Jeff Sessions was ousted last month,” Bloomberg reported on Friday.

Barr, 68, is currently an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis and was the attorney general under the late President George H.W. Bush.

The Associated Press reported that “Trump says he’s nominating State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations” on Friday.

Before becoming the State Department’s spokeswoman, Nauert, 48, was a Fox News host.

While Trump was making these announcements, rumors continue to fly regarding Kelly’s future in the administration.

The Daily Mail reported on Friday:

White House insiders expect Chief of Staff John Kelly to resign in the coming days.

Sources told DailyMail.com that Kelly, a decorated Marine Corps general brought in last year, is ‘expected’ to leave the White House before the end of the year, and the announcement could come as soon as Friday.

This isn’t the first time that it has been rumored that Kelly is expected to resign.

Politico also reported that two key members of Trump’s administration, Bill Stepien and Justin Clark, are leaving the White House to work on Trump’s re-election campaign.
