Trump Approval Climbs to 12-Month High

President Trump rose to a 12-month high in the Real Clear Politics polling average for his approval ratings on Wednesday, breaking the 43-point margin for the first time since May of last year.

The president is still underwater in the polling average, with 52 percent disapproval and 43 percent approval.

The latest poll, from Monmouth University, found that 45 percent of registered voters approve of Trump’s performance, compared with 48 percent who disapprove.

The president’s numbers suffer a deficit in almost every poll, except Rasmussen, which find his approval-disapproval tied at 49 percent.

But Trump’s approval is on the upswing, seeming to improve slowly and steadily every week. This continuing trend could lead to a better-than-expected midterm election year for Republicans.
