Trump Campaign Files Charges Against Omarosa

The Trump campaign filed charges against Omarosa on Tuesday, according to The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard, accusing her of violating a nondisclosure agreement.

Omarosa is preparing to release a book detailing her time in the White House, and attacking President Trump’s fitness for office. She has already released several undercover audio recordings of conversations between high-ranking Trump officials to major media outlets.

The Trump campaign alleges her actions violate an agreement she signed in 2016, per Bedard:

According to a sample of the agreement provided to Secrets, she was required to keep proprietary information about the president, his companies or his family confidential and to never “disparage” the Trump family “during the term of your service and at all times thereafter.”

Previous reports indicated the White House would pursue legal action against the former staffer for releasing undercover recordings. But the first legal maneuver comes from the campaign itself.

Trump has taken aim at Omarosa himself on Twitter, calling her a “dog” on Tuesday morning.
