President Trump, during a press scrum at his New Jersey golf course on Saturday, described fired White House staffer Omarosa as a “lowlife.”

“Do you feel betrayed by Omarosa?” a reporter yelled to Trump, as he was meeting with Bikers for Trump.

The president put his hand to his mouth and responded to the accusations in the former Apprentice contestant’s new book. “Lowlife,” he said. “She’s a lowlife.”

In an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Omarosa released undercover audio she took of her firing by Chief of Staff John Kelly. She called his words a “threat.”

Via Mediate:

Kelly can be heard on the tape saying, “I think it’s important to understand that if we make this a friendly departure, we can all be––you know, you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation. And then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future relative to your reputation.”

Manigault called that remark an obvious “threat.”

At another point in the tape, she asks whether President Donald Trump is aware of this. Kelly calls it a “non-negotiable discussion” and tells her this concerns “pretty serious integrity violations.”

It appears the once warm relationship between master and apprentice may have run its course.
