President Trump predicted the U.S. will see a lower unemployment rate than it ever had under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Trump Predicts Unemployment Below 4%; Would Be Lowest Since 2000

President Trump predicted, via tweet in the third-person on Monday morning, that the U.S. will have an unemployment rate south of four percent.

If the unemployment rate drops from its current 4.1 percent to below four percent, it will be the lowest U.S. unemployment rate since December 2000. This was before President George W. Bush took office.

The American economy has created 1.47 million jobs in President Trump’s first nine months.

The president has promised to create 25 million jobs in the next 10 years, a clip of 2.5 million new jobs a year.
