Trump’s Break-Neck Campaign Schedule to Election Day

President Donald Trump is kicking off a six-day campaign blitz in the final days of the 2018 midterms to boost Republicans’ chances in key House, Senate, and gubernatorial races across the country.

Trump has planned stops in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Tennessee, and West Virginia, with multiple dates and rallies expected in several of these states.

Here’s the known schedule, as reported by Axios on Sunday:

Oct. 31:Fort Myers, Florida

Nov. 1: Columbia, Missouri

Nov. 2: Huntington, West Virginia and an undisclosed location in Indiana

Nov. 3: Bozeman, Montana and an undisclosed location in Florida

Nov. 4: Macon, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee

Nov. 5:Fort Wayne, Indiana and Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Another rally, on a date we haven’t established: an undisclosed location in Ohio

Observers note that the vast majority of these stops are intended to boost Republican Senate candidates, while only a couple will benefit Republican House candidates in competitive districts. They also note that many of the locations are “Trump country,” or areas where the president did well in 2016:

Trump won many of the counties by at least 20 points. He won all of the congressional districts by at least 20, and in one case (Cape Girardeau, MO) he won by more than 50.

By holding rallies in friendly territory, the White House’s goal is clear: help Republican candidates by exciting the GOP base and boosting turnout on Election Day.
