President Trump will visit West Virginia this week to discuss tax cuts at a roundtable, according to The Associated Press.

President Donald Trump will promote recent tax cuts during a round-table discussion in West Virginia this week.

The White House says Trump is hosting Thursday’s discussion at the Sulphur Springs Civic Center in White Sulphur Springs.

The tax cut talk may put additional pressure on Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), who’s up for reelection in 2018 and voted against the tax cut bill in December.

According to a September 2017 poll released by Definers Public Affairs and WPA Intelligence, 77.3 percent of West Virginians support Trump’s tax plan. That was the highest amount of support for any state surveyed by Definers and WPA.

That makes Manchin’s vote against tax cuts for West Virginian families and businesses a particular vulnerability. Last week, Politico effectively named Manchin the sixth-most vulnerable senator in the country.
