It appears Twitter locked out a user on Friday by the name of Luke Thompson after he pointed out that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) boyfriend, Riley Roberts, has a Congressional email account.

Thompson tweeted a screenshot of Riley Roberts’ House email and alleged that Ocasio-Cortez had hired her boyfriend on her congressional staff.

The Guardians’ Ben Jacobs tweeted that Thompson’s account has “been locked by Twitter after noting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s boyfriend has a House email address.”

Marie Claire reported on Roberts and Ocasio-Cortez’s relationship earlier this year.

According to Roberts’ LinkedIn profile, which has since been deactivated, he was the “head of marketing at HomeBinder.com, which helps people manage the maintenance on their home,” as well as a consultant for tech start-ups.

Ocasio-Cortez quickly responded to the allegation that she had hired her boyfriend on Twitter.

Roberts is not Ocasio-Cortez’s spouse, however, but her boyfriend. If Ocasio-Cortez’s claim is accurate, it’s not clear why Roberts was granted spouse privileges.
