Nevada U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian, who is challenging Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) in a June 2018 GOP primary, is facing new questions about the movement of money from his non-profit basketball academy, through an LLC and his congressional campaign, to help pay off Tarkanian’s personal mortgage.

Steve Sebelius, one of the top political reporters in Nevada, previewed the story on Monday night:

And then Sebelius brought out the whiteboard for an on-air report later that night.

KLAS reported:

Danny Tarkanian, a Republican seeking the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Dean Heller, apparently used funds originally borrowed from a charity to boost his campaign accounts.

…But the questions about finances stem from his 2012 race for the Fourth Congressional District.

Tarkanian responded on Tuesday afternoon, calling the reporter “fake news” but not directly addressing the movement of money through various accounts.
