"We're all suffering. That's the disaster of Trump. It's a ****ing nightmare. He's a virus on democracy, basically."

Actor Matt Walsh, who plays Mike McClintock on HBO’s hit show “Veep,” blamed President Trump for the show ending after its upcoming seventh season and called Trump a “virus on democracy” during an interview on Thursday.

While appearing on the Barstool Sports podcast “KFC Radio,” Walsh was asked about playing McClintock and whether the current administration is good or bad for the show.

“I think it’s actually bad for business,” Walsh said. “I mean, the country suffers more than comedy, first of all. We’re all suffering. That’s the disaster of Trump. It’s a fucking nightmare. He’s a virus on democracy, basically.”

Walsh then said the election of Trump has made writing the show challenging and factored into Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ decision to end the hit show after seven seasons.
