A Marquette University Law School poll found that President Donald Trump has a higher approval rating in Wisconsin than Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI).

The poll, which was released on Monday, found that 43 percent of Wisconsin voters approve of the job that Trump is doing, which is up from 41 percent in June.

Only 37 percent of Wisconsin voters approve of Baldwin, which is down from her 40-percent approval in March 2017.

The three-point drop in Baldwin’s approval ratting coincides with conservative groups spending over $4.7 million in Wisconsin attacking Baldwin’s record.

Concerned Veterans for America announced they would be dropping an additional $1.6 million on ads in the state, which attack Baldwin for “the over-prescription of opioids and other drugs at the veterans hospital in Tomah.”

Baldwin has consistently been ranked as one of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats who is seeking reelection in 2018.

The Marquette poll “surveyed 800 registered voters between Feb. 25 and Thursday and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.”
