Billionaire businessman Warren Buffett said that the GOP tax bill would be a ‘huge tailwind’ for American businesses during an interview with CNBC on Monday.

CNBC’s Becky Quick asked Buffett what he thought about the GOP tax bill now that it has been enacted. Quick pointed out that Buffett was not a fan of the legislation when it was first proposed.

Buffett told Quick that the GOP tax bill is a “huge tailwind” for American businesses.

Quick followed up by asking Buffett what the bill would mean for American businesses and economy overall for the next few years.

“It certainly means corporations will pay quite a bit less in tax than they otherwise would,” Buffett responded. “When we make money in 2018 domestically and, subject to a lot of little things here and there, basically we’ll be paying at 21 percent instead of 35 percent. That’s a lot of money.”
