New White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham did her part start off on the right foot with the White House press corps during a recent visit to North Korea.

Grisham sustained bruises after she fought – literally – for U.S. press access to a meeting between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Before the tussle, press outside the building had been told they would not be let in. But then a U.S. official said they were allowed.

Video shows a woman shouting for the U.S. pool to enter amid a din of voices.

In the video above, Grisham jostled with North Korean security personnel, who are attempting to block U.S. reporters from gaining access to the meeting.

“Go, go!” Grisham yells to members of the press as she momentarily holds a security guard at bay. Grisham created a gap for reporters to run through.

“Grisham threw herself into it to make sure the US TV camera got into House of Freedom, and it came to body blows,” Bloomberg’s Jennifer Jacobs tweeted Sunday.

Grisham replaced outgoing press secretary Sarah Sanders just last week. For two years, she served as First Lady Melania Trump’s communications director and will retain that role as press secretary, according to the Washington Post.
