Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) son, Levi Sanders, is seriously considering running for Congress in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District, according to an interview the 48-year-old gave to Vice News.

Not surprisingly, Vice reports that the younger Sanders would run on a similar platform as his father, including planks for free college tuition and Medicare For All.

“The basic difference is that I’m a vegetarian and he’s not,” Levi joked about his father.

Here’s what he said when asked about his interest in the congressional run:

“Oh absolutely, I’m definitely considering it. I’m excited, motivated, and interested in the race,” Levi said. “I’m just dotting my i’s and crossing my t’s.”

So what are the younger Sanders’ qualifications? He worked on his father’s presidential campaign in 2016 as a “senior policy strategist,” according to The Hill.

He’s running to replace the retiring Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) in a district that has bounced between Republican and Democrat control for years. As many as seven other Democrats are already running for the seat and raising money.
