Will McKinley Denounce Patients for Affordable Drugs for Pelosi Support?

Rep. David McKinley (R-WV) has a dilemma on his hands over whether he will denounce ads run by the political action committee Patients for Affordable Drugs Action after the group’s chief funder tweeted support for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Wednesday.

Patients for Affordable Drugs Action was launched earlier this year and has received the majority of its funding from the Action Now Initiative, which is funded by liberal billionaire and former Enron executive John Arnold.

Arnold, who in the past has taken to Twitter to bash President Trump and his administration, seemed to indicate his support for Pelosi to be the next speaker of the House on Wednesday.

That tweet by Arnold now puts McKinley, a Republican, in a tough spot as Patients for Affordable Drugs Action announced in July that it would spend six-figures in support of McKinley’s reelection bid.

So, will McKinley denounce the Patients for Affordable Drugs Action ads and stand with Republicans? Or will he allow the ads to run without objection and defacto support Pelosi and the Democrats liberal agenda?
