"No, but do you name sources? I mean, are you naming the people, or just say, people have said."

Legendary reporter Bob Woodward told President Trump that he wouldn’t name sources that he used for his upcoming book, “Fear,” about Trump’s presidency during a phone call with Trump in early August.

Early reviews of “Fear” include several sensational allegations about Trump and his administration.

“What you can count on is that I’ve been very careful,” Woodward said.

Woodward then had his assistant join the call to confirm that there’s nothing in the book that doesn’t come from a firsthand source.

“But are you naming names? Or do you just say ‘sources’?” Trump asked.

“Yeah, well, it names real incidents, so,” Woodward said.

“No, but do you name sources? I mean, are you naming the people, or just say, ‘people have said’?” Trump responded.

“I say, at 2:00 on this day, the following happened, and everyone who’s there, including yourself, is quoted. And I’m sorry I didn’t get to ask you about these,” Woodward said.

Trump then shifted the conversation toward his accomplishments so far as president.
