You may be seeing “The Last Jedi” on Thursday evening, like millions of other Americans (and the entire NTK Network staff).

To get you even more excited for the experience, NTK Network took a peek at how “The Last Jedi” is performing with critics, who are an important filter for many films but often turn up their noses at action-packed, science fiction films like the “Star Wars” series.

The consensus?

“The Last Jedi” is impressing even the stuffiest of film critics.

The film is earning a 93-percent “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the following consensus:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi honors the saga’s rich legacy while adding some surprising twists — and delivering all the emotion-rich action fans could hope for.

On Metacritic, another review aggregator, “The Last Jedi” earns an 86 score, with 49 positive reviews, three mixed reviews, and zero negative reviews.

Matt Zoller Seitz of RogerEbert.com also gave the film four stars out of four, with the following lead to his extensive review (warning if you click: minor spoilers):

Writer/director Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is a sprawling, incident- and character-packed extravaganza that picks up at the end of “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” and guides the series into unfamiliar territory. It’s everything a fan could want from a “Star Wars” film and then some.
